No Love Here: Chapter Eight
Jill's POV
I pulled my jacket tighter around me. It was a little chilly in the classroom today, though everyone else seemed to think it was boiling. Math. Bleh. I always hated math. This year's teacher was better than last year's, but still. I guess the only thing I had to look forward to was the fact I could talk to Chris during class.
He had already gotten to class by the time I did. He was stuffing some things into his backpack as I sat down.
"Hey, V."
"Hi, Chris. Did you do the homework?"

"What'd you get for number four?"
He opened the folder on his desk and glanced at the paper within. "X equals y plus nineteen." I frowned

Claire Redfield wakes from her dream of a red-haired boy, with half-shed tears on her cheeks.
It is always the same.
She gets up and goes to the bathroom - sometimes to pee, usually just to wash the salty tears from her face. She looks at herself in the mirror in a kind of helpless melancholy. She carefully climbed into the current, keeping a tight grip on the bars lining the sewer tunnel while walking across. She made it halfway across the culvert, only to have the current pull Sherry off her back, sweeping her out of Claire's view. She pushed her way through the sewage water and pulled herself out onto the other side. Claire looked around to see

Jill rolled her shoulders. "How far until we reach this mythical place that has ammo?" She asked, loading her last clip into her pistol.
"Actually..." He opened a door to a large building for her(chivalry was not dead, Jill had learned), and she stepped through. "We're there."
"Oh... The RPD building?" she asked. "I was just hired here. Well, before this apocolypse shit."
"Really? What section?" he asked, surprised.
"The Special Tactics and Rescue Squad. I was gonna be the new B&E expert," she replied simply.
Chris was taken slightly aback. "Really? I worked in STARS."
"You did?" She gave him a surprised look. "What were you?"
"Marksma

The handcuffs really annoyed Jill to no end. They rubbed her wrist raw and restrained her movement. And it was not a plus to have Chris on the end, even though she did believe him to be quite handsome.
They still had not arrived at the location of the bullets that Chris had mentioned. She was growing increasingly tired with each step. It had been hours since she had snapped at him, and had forgiven him for thinking her a killer or a crook. Much worse had been thought of her before.
They had talked a bit more since then, though she still wasn't completely settled into her new situation. It wasn't like it was awkward to her. She didn't do awk
